Here comes Santa Claus, uh, Grandpa

Here comes Santa Claus, er, uh, Grandpa

Happy Christmas Eve Eve.  For those of us who don’t claim any official organized religion, today is an official Holiday.  Unfortunately my bosses don’t recognize it as such, and I am at work.

My Dad and his wife are on their way over to MO for the holidays.  I am guessing that they are motoring their way across the midwest as I write this.  No, that is not an actual picture of their actual car.  It’s close.  Maybe.  I’m sure it’s exactly what the girls hope their car looks like.  They forget Dad has other family here to see besides my girls, so not all the presents in the car are going to be for them.

The girls spent the day with Brian’s mom yesterday making goodies for Dad and his wife for Christmas.  I’m not telling what they made, and to Dad it doesn’t matter, it’s from the girls.  He’s awesome like that.

I am just trying to get through the next several hours, (5 to be exact) until I can clock out, and head home, putting this do-nothing-at-work-because-nobody-is-motivated day behind me.  Tonight we will have Christmas with my Dad, and tomorrow we will have Christmas with Brian and his family.

And maybe I mentioned it a time or two before, but this year? The fun for me isn’t going to be opening my presents, but watching everyone open the ones I gave.  The joy is in the giving this year.

Come on 4:00 Let’s skip 1:00 and 2:00 shall we????
